This is a multi-part series. Here is the introduction.

Antler is a startup generator, incubator, and early-stage VC firm that literally creates companies, including mine: Avertro. The Antler approach and model is unique; there’s nothing else in the world quite like it. And it’s awesome.

I’ve been on the Antler program since June 2019 as part of the inaugural cohort in Sydney and the culmination of the program, is Demo Day, which was held at the historic Sydney Town Hall last week, on the 7th of November, 2019.

Sharing the Avertro story in front of approximately 1,000 people, and another 1,000+ watching online via the live stream, was exhilarating, and energising.

How did I do on Demo Day, you ask? Judge for yourself.

This milestone feels like the appropriate moment for reflection, so I’ve decided to write a series of short articles that outline the key lessons I’ve learned thus far.

I hope you find little nuggets of information through this series that you can take and apply to your own situation.

Read on for the first lesson.
